How to maintain the electrical control system of vertical injection molding machine?

The electrical control system is like the brain of the vertical injection molding machine; the control system issues the instructions, and other systems receive the instructions to complete the corresponding action. Of course, we need to check and maintain such a core part regularly.

How important is the electrical control system? It is the core part of the injection molding machine, so how do you maintain it in daily production?

Check from the wire connector

Joints are not tight wire will cause high temperatures or sparks at the joint position and damage; poor joints will also affect the transmission of signals; contactor joints will be easier to loosen due to the vibration of the electromagnetic action, so you need to check the wire joints fastening situation regularly.

The contact point’s vertical injection molding machine circuit must be maintained in a tight state, and there shall be no loose phenomenon. To avoid affecting the heat dissipation function of the electric box, we should pay attention to the working performance of each exhaust fan at any time, clean up the dust on the dust separator, and replace the dust separator in time. Check the connection point once according to the specified time for all wires in the box. Check that the wire of the rubber shell has no hardening to prevent electricity leakage.

Motor Inspection

Generally, motors are air-cooled, and dust accumulation will cause heat dissipation difficulties, so regular cleaning should be done every year. Usually equipped with a motor overload cutoff in the circuit, the limit current of the protective device is adjustable based on the motor power to make the appropriate choice. Once the overload protector starts, it should check whether the contact is bad or the oil temperature is too high before pressing the reset switch back.

Heat cylinder and thermocouple inspection

Regularly check whether the heat cylinder is fastened to ensure effective heat transfer. The normal production of heat cylinder burn is not easy to detect, so pay attention to the temperature control area of the work from which to determine whether the heat cylinder is normal.

In addition, the common damage to the heating cylinder is the wire connection; due to poor joints, contact resistance increases, so the connection of local overheating leads to oxidation of the interface and damage, which should keep the thermocouple contact point clean.

AC contactor

Used in the electric heating part of the contactor because the action is more frequent, and its loss rate is also faster. If the main contact overheating occurs, melting and bonding may cause the heating temperature to go out of control, so if you find that the contactor has an overheating phenomenon, loud noise, or break when the spark is very large, it means that it will be damaged, it should be replaced as soon as possible.

Microcomputer control part

With the application of microcomputer control technology in the injection molding machine, the microcomputer part and its related auxiliary electronic version of the normal operation of the power supply voltage fluctuations, the temperature and humidity of the working environment, the installation of seismic and even outside the interference of high-frequency signals have put forward a higher demand, to maintain the control box ventilation and heat dissipation, the use of high-precision power supply regulator power supply, and try to reduce the control box by the impact of external vibration is the basic requirements of normal work, should be effectively resolved, and should be replaced as soon as possible. The work’s basic requirements should solve these problems and regular checks.

  1. Check the operating panel key and whether the safety door is impacted, if necessary, to be adjusted.
  2. The body of the travel switch, parts fixed whether loose, whether the wire is broken, and check each junction box.
  3. The power distribution cabinet check: dust cleaning, each electrical component terminal ( contactors, terminals, microcomputer controller ) screw fastening, cleaning up messy wires.
  4. Heating part of the inspection: heating ring, terminal fastening, heating junction box inspection, cleaning up the exposed wires.
  5. If the cylinder temperature calibration is normal, check the thermocouple.
  6. Function check pressure, flow, current check, input, output signal check, position display check.
  7. Environmental check: Determine whether the voltage is normal and whether there is no dust affecting the electronic control part.
