How to Load and Unload a Turntable Vertical Injection Molding Machine Mold?

With the flourishing global economy, the demand for turntable vertical injection molding machines is also increasing. Consequently, the competitiveness among manufacturers of these machines is continually enhancing, and the development prospects for turntable vertical injection molding machines are very promising.

So, what are the basic steps for loading, unloading, and handling the molds of a vertical turntable injection molding machine?

The first step in installing the mold is to open the door of the turntable vertical injection molding machine. Next, lift the mold using a drive mechanism, ensuring that its height and width are proportionate to be higher than that of the vertical turntable injection molding machine. Slowly place the mold in the center between the two templates of the machine and gradually lower it down.

Then, check that the center of the mold’s inlet sleeve aligns with the precise positioning hole of the injection molding machine. Ensure that the precise positioning ring of the mold also aligns with the corresponding hole of the CNC lathe. The mold should be pushed closely against the CNC lathe, and gradually operate the CNC lathe and the mold’s function key until the machine’s template presses against the mold. Once the accuracy is confirmed, lock in the working pressure.

The third step is to secure the mold with the CNC lathe’s pin screws, then gradually remove the mold while quickly moving to establish the mold stroke arrangement. Ensure that the mold does not produce any abnormal sounds and conduct a test piece check.

Before removing the mold, confirm that everything is functioning normally. Then apply the working pressure to fix the mold using a hook. Apply a little force to tighten, then loosen the pin screws, and gradually move the injection machine’s template to ensure the mold doesn’t fall. Quickly open the injection machine’s template and slightly shift the mold sideways using the machine’s nozzle to detach the mold’s inlet sleeve from the vertical turntable injection molding machine. After that, drive the mold to position it in the center of the injection machine’s template and gradually lift it.

Finally, place the mold in a safe area where its height-to-width ratio is greater than that of the CNC lathe, and then remove the mold!
