How to deal with water entering the vertical injection molding machine?

If the vertical injection molding machine unfortunately encounters flooding, it may cause varying degrees of water intrusion into the electrical, hydraulic, lubrication systems, etc.

If this happens, don’t hesitate to contact MINHUI Machinery Manufacturer in time, or you can follow the instructions below. Step processing:

1. Electrical part

① Disconnect all power supplies promptly.

② After water enters, immediately remove the battery from the computer host; because some components/electrical appliances of the computer board are still powered on without removing the battery, this will accelerate the rust and corrosion of these components and increase the cost of component maintenance. Difficulty and maintenance costs.

③ Remove the electrical components in the entire electrical box (it is recommended to be operated by professionals) and clean them with alcohol. If necessary, disassemble and clean the parts, including I/O boards, power supplies, transformers, contactors, air switches, fans, etc.

④ Use the on-site drying hopper to fully dry and dry all components; the decomposed and cleaned components can be put into the drying hopper in layers. The drying temperature is 50~70℃, the drying time is 8~10 hours, and the insulation resistance value is tested to determine whether it meets the requirements (usually measured at 200K levels) to determine whether it is completely dry.

⑤ Energize and inspect the completely dry electrical components one by one (operated by professionals). The machine can be installed and used only after the inspection is in good condition.

2. Hydraulic part

① Do not turn on the motor oil pump after entering the water. Turning on the motor will cause the water in the hydraulic oil to enter the hydraulic pipeline of the machine, causing metal hydraulic components to corrode.

② How to check whether water has entered the hydraulic oil: Dip a piece of paper into a little oil and ignite it. If it cannot be ignited or there is a popping sound during the burning process, there is moisture in the hydraulic oil, and all the hydraulic oil needs to be replaced; water-free can also be used. Copper sulfate tests to see if it will turn blue. If it turns blue, it means it contains water.

If the hydraulic oil contains water, the hydraulic oil in the tank needs to be replaced; wipe the tank clean with a clean rag before adding new oil.

3. Servo motor and control system

① Electrical components and circuit boards should be cleaned with alcohol, dried with a hair dryer, and dried in an oven or hopper at 55°C for 24 hours.

② For servo motors, pay attention to drying the encoder and motor stator and protecting the motor bearings to avoid rust.
